Thank you for your interest in the Ohio Nurse Preceptor Development Program.
In conjunction with academic and practice partners in northeast Ohio, this program was developed to provide supplemental resources to nurse preceptors who work with student nurses and newly licensed registered nurses (NLRN’s).
The preceptor development program takes approximately 2 hours to complete. Throughout the program, you will be guided through different pages that include course content and brief surveys. The surveys will ask questions related to your knowledge, skills and attitudes relating to working with nursing students and newly licensed registered nurses. The program contains five chapters that will introduce you to the Ohio Nurse Competency Model and provide you with information about coaching for competence, clinical questioning, thinking like a nurse and evaluation strategies.
This CE Activity, OLN-I-1840-16, offered by Ohio Nurse Preceptor Development Partners, has been approved for 2.0 contact hours by the Ohio Board of Nursing through the approver unit at the Ohio League for Nursing (OBN-006-92) and the program is approved to be offered through January 10, 2019.
If you would like to receive continuing education credit for the program ($10 fee required), please complete the pre-program survey, CE program and post-program survey. If you wish to do so, you will be able to apply for 2.0 contact hours at the completion of the post-program survey.
